Description

THE BEATLES  

This is an original George Patterson (Advertising Agency) 12-inch single-sided 33rpm vinyl LP pressing. Contents as per label (chocolate brown and lime green on white background) as shown in picture. This is a promotional disc from Cadbury chocolates, published in Melbourne in 1964 of interviews recorded in London to publicise The Beatles Australian tour that year. Total durations is 18 mins 30 secs as per label with 10mins 30secs being interview with The Beatles.  It is likely that up to a dozen or thereabouts copies were pressed for distribution in plain cover to key city radio stations.

I consider this one of the rarest of all Australian sound recordings and an internationally significant Beatles item which can only appreciate in collecting importance and value. As far as I'm aware this is the first occasion a copy has been offered on E-Bay.

Condition is E+. No surface flaws and plays well.
