This is the renowned FIRST PRESSING for Rubber Soul - already a FANTASTIC album that was another leap forward from previous lps, and now uniquely mastered onto vinyl with a 'louder' pressing stamper.
Now well known as 'THE LOUD CUT' among collectors, and highly desirable.
This was withdrawn soon afterwards, and replaced with the more stoic and accepted mastering that kept with the sound standard of previous releases. The stampers changed, and these FIRST catalogue numbers ending with -1 / -1 show that this is the original earliest pressing issue.
Condition;
The VINYL grades VG, there is 'wisp' surface scuff but no deep scratches.
Not a 'top copy' but still a worthwhile player.
The "GRAMOPHONE CO." LABLES are VG++ with no stickers or tears.
The FLIPBACK TAB COVER is VG, bright rear with a small name at bottom right. A stress at lower seam centre.
