Description

BEATLES “RUBBER SOUL”

1965 LP

MONO LOUD CUT VERSION

XEX 479-1 & 580-1

 Features:

1.      'Loud-cut' PMC 1267 – 1965 MONO pressing with matrix numbers XEX 579-1 (Side 1) & XEX 580-1 (Side 2). These were pressed for two days only before the pressings were stopped because George Martin/Beatles were not happy with the mixing level – they thought it was too loud and ‘distorted’ the sound. They released subsequent MONO pressings with a different mix.

2.      Tax Code embossed ‘KT’ on Side 1.

3.      Original EMI Emitex inner sleeve in excellent condition – no seam splits!!. The inner sleeve has the "Important" wording at the top, the centre cut, the Made in England label and is made from thin paper lined with clear polythene. Only the true originals have these features.

4.      Garrod & Lofthouse laminated front cover. Reverse of cover has the triple fold-back design. This whole of the cover is in excellent condition with no missing pieces – spine is in tact with clear print. No tears, marks, writing, doodles or other disfiguring marks. Minor wear around the opening only.

5.      The LP itself is a thick vinyl pressing that retains its gloss. No warping at all. Feathering marks and some minor lines - no major scratches. Both sides play without skips - the inevitable odd click/hiss. A very good copy all round considering it's now well over 40 years old.

8.      Labels are Yellow & Black and are in very good condition. 'Sold in UK..' text and 'The Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims. Has had a sticker removed from the Side 1 label and the slight residue can still be seen.
