UPDATED INFO 7 AUG - the 'condition' of this item is USED - not, AS NEW (as the Ebay box seems to be insisting despite my efforts to alter it to 'USED')

Offered for auction in this listing is a UK Stereo pressing of Rubber Soul, which features the incorrect spelling of Norwegian Wood as Norweigian Wood (note the extra 'i' between the 'e' and the 'g') on the side 1 label. This spelling error label ranks alongside the I'm A Losser label on the Beatles For Sale album as a highly desirable collectible on account of its scarcity; it may even be the case that the Norweigian error is harder to find than the BFS Losser label.

I cannot quote the approximate numbers of this label that were distributed but given the quick speed at which other error labels were corrected, it is probable that the number is in the low hundreds at the most.

Matrices are YEX 178-3 2RR / YEX 179-3 2GH

CONDITION OF ITEM

  1. VINYL - I'd grade the vinyl of both sides at VG+; both sides have an amount of light surface scoring but there are no medium or deep scratches, pits, notches, staining or gouges. That said, the vinyl would no doubt benefit from cleaning (I won't attempt this for fear of damaging the vinyl surface)
  2. LABELS - I have supplied untouched scans of the all-important labels from this record; and a grade of EX is justified - although there is a dot which mars the side 1 label that looks very much like a felt-tipped marker mark (present when I purchased the album from its previous owner).
  3. SLEEVE - sleeve grades easily at VG+. Please take the time to look closely at the provided pictures. All but one of the sleeve-related images are scans, not digital snaps; the image of the spine and corners is the exception (descriptive text is included within this picture).
Any questions not answered by either the supplied pictures or the above blurb will be answered within 24 hours.

Payment is the only accepted payment method for all countries except Australia (Aussie buyers can also pay by direct deposit if they so choose).

Good luck to all.
