Condition:
Sleeve: VERY GOOD++ : In really nice condition throughout. The laminated front of this Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve has some light edge creasing to the laminate, but nothing serious. The rear flip-back seams are all intact and in great condition. Only marked down from EXCELLENT as a previous owner has left their name on the top right corner of the rear with a rubber stamp. Naturally, there is some light age discolouration and light handing marks generally.
Inner sleeve is the standard EMI white type, slightly marked and aging, but free of splits and writing..
Record: EXCELLENT : The vinyl is graded very highly. Under very bright lights you will detect some very light wispy hairlines , but these are small and insignificant. Side 2 shows a noticeable hairline running over the first three tracks, but again it is light and can't be felt. None of the blemishes described have any adverse effect on playback quality. The labels are clean but show a slightly mottled appearance, and Side 1 has a number sticker which may be difficult to remove. Considering the age of the vinyl, spindle wear is fairly light. Side 1 label clearly shows the more rare "MT" tax mark embossed.
Plays exceptionally well, with no skips or jumps. Some light background static noise between some tracks if you listen very carefully, but nothing that will spoil your enjoyment of the extraordinary MONO sound quality.

I try to accurately describe the condition as per The Record Collector's Guide's parameters:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or unplayed should be mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have some slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
