Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Rubber Soul' 1965 FIRST press STEREO vinyl LP!
This particular pressing is the very FIRST pressing of Rubber Soul, released in 1965. What makes this record special is the fact that it is in the STEREO format. In 1965, stereo records weren't in demand as not many people had the correct systems to even play them on. These records had to be specially ordered through record shops so not a huge amount were ever sold, when compared to the Rubber Soul mono pressings. A scarce record for sure! DO NOT MISS OUT!

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there are a some hairline scratches and marks - one of which is lightly feelable on Track 3 (play-tested below). Needs a clean but still retains a lovely gloss and shine. Rated as GOOD+/VERY GOOD-. Label is VERY GOOD. Side 2 - same as Side 1!
Audio: I have play-tested the album in it's entirety! I can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO STICKS and NO JUMPS on my system! There is crackle on the run-in that's expected due to the visual condition. Once the audio kicks in, it moves into the background. The quieter passages have more prominent crackle (Michelle for example) - definitely could benefit with a deep clean. It still has a rich 60s warmth with crisp highs and a punchy bass! Rated as VERY GOOD-/VERY GOOD!
Sleeve: The original 1965 STEREO flipback sleeve is currently rated as GOOD! The front of the sleeve has a nice gloss and shine but it does have a lot of creasing and light ringwear with a 2" tear to the top and a 2" tear to the bottom. The rear of the sleeve is discoloured and stained and appears to have had a name literally scribbled out in pen...hasn't actually pierced the sleeve though which is good! There is also a small tear to the opening edge at the very bottom left by the flipbacks. The spine is 100% readable with some creasing and marks.
Overall, I'd say this is a good playable collection filler until a better one comes along.
