The Beatles – Rock 'n' Roll Music Vols. 1 & 2 (2 x lps)

Originally released in  June 11, 1976 by EMI exactly as originaly recorded. But George Martin wasn’t happy as he wanted his remixed versions to be used. In 1980, EMI Records relented and decided to issue the remixed recordings (these records). They split the two albums, put them into new sleeves after receiving numerous complaints about the original sleeves and issued them on the Music For Pleasure label as Rock ‘n’ Roll Music, Volumes 1 and 2. These two albums are worth buying if only to compare the original recordings with the remixes.

Vol.1, Side Two: Rock And Roll Music; Slow Down; Kansas City / Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey; Money (That's What I Want); Bad Boy; Matchbox; Roll Over Beethoven.

Vol.2, Side One: Dizzy Miss Lizzy; Anytime At All; Drive My Car; Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby; The Night Before; I'm Down; Revolution.
Vol.2, Side Two: Back In The U.S.S.R.; Helter Skelter; Taxman; Got To Get You Into My Life; Hey Bulldog; Birthday; Get Back.
The albums are on Music For Pleasure Records, MFP 50506 / 50507. Matrix vol.1, side one: SKBO 11537-1A-1 (stamped). Matrix vol.1, side two: SKBO 11537-1B-1 (stamped). Matrix vol.2, side one: SKBO 11537-2A-1 (stamped). Matrix vol.2, side two: SKBO 11537-2B-1 (stamped).
Released in 1980. UK pressing. Stereo.

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl - vol.1, side 1: excellent (a few very light superficial marks can be seen under bright light, that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl - vol.1, side 2: excellent (a few very light superficial marks can be seen under bright light, that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl - vol.2, side 1: excellent (a few very light superficial marks can be seen under bright light, that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).

Covers (glossy): excellent (no obvious faults).

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
