THE BEATLES PLEASE PLEASE ME
3rd pressing (1st YELLOW AND BLACK)) RARE!
Hello and welcome to another auction from my Beatles collection, this time the record in question is The Beatles Please Please Me 3 rd pressing but without ,(1) Sold in the uk..
(2) Recording first published
Has the Parlophone Co LTD.... ZT Tax code....1960 to 1963
what makes this a rare copy is the fact that it has a 33 1/3 in small print on side two just at the side of the matrix number (XEX 422.),my guess is that this is one of the first
yellow and black label pressings.Possibly more rare than the Gold and black labelled album,Looks like
as the last Gold and Black was leaving the factory, new 3rd pressings were being produced, someone may
have forgotten to change the type setting to omit the 33 1/3 which resulted in a few albums slipping
through quality control, i asume that maybe just a batch were pressed before the type settings was changed.
