DESCRIPTION:
Hi, This is an Original 1963 *Mono* Version of the vinyl LP "Please Please Me" by The Beatles.
Black & Gold Labels with the small '33 1/3'. All the relevant information from the run-out grooves
is stated above. The Album is housed in the original sleeve with the large MONO print to the top
right hand corner. It is housed in the correct 'Emitex' inner sleeve and it has been kept in a clear
PVC sleeve for protection. It will be despatched in this as well.
I'm not sure about 1st or 2nd pressings but the matrix numbers will give you a clear indication of
what is what as will the mother stampers. I am pretty sure this is a 1st pressing!!
GRADING:
The Vinyl I would grade as Very Good. It still maintains a lovely sheen and I have given it a good
clean with Vinyl cleaner. There are no obvious scratches, it has a few hairline markings but they
do not affect playback in any way. You have to look for them and catch the light the right way for
them to be visible to the naked eye... This is one of the better copies I have seen listed!
The Labels are crisp & Bright and again I would grade as Very Good. There are NO Pen Marks,
scratches, digs etc...There is some wear around the spindle hole as you would expect but that is
it....nothing else to report! I have looked at other listings of this Record and seen sellers stating
'The Best Labels I have ever seen' to encourage buyers to bid on their items but this copy is just
as Good as any of them!!
The Picture Sleeve I would grade as Good. Again I have seen sellers of this Record grading Very
Good just because it is Rare and old. The Laminated Cover has NO markings on the front except
what is supposed to be there..Angus McBean acknowledgement to the bottom right hand corner.
It has been knocked on the corners like all the copies have but it has still been well looked after!.
It obviously has some general wear and tear but it is all still intact and the spine is still strong.
The Flip - Back sleeve only has some minor damage along the bottom edge on the rear but again
that is about it. Other than that it is just wear and tear. Please take a good look at all the pictures
I have uploaded, You can see what a superb item this is and compare it to other listings for sale.
There are not too many original pressings about these days so have a bid and own a piece of Pop
history.
