THE BEATLES PLEASE PLEASE ME GOLD BLACK PARLOPHONE LABEL 2nd PRESSING.
Here is a great opportunity to own the highly collectible and rare 2nd Pressing on the GOLD & BLACK PARLOPHONE label of THE BEATLES DEBUT UK ALBUM PLEASE PLEASE ME - MONO PMC 1202. This in the 2nd pressing from 1963 with the NORTHERN SONGS CREDITS on label. Initially there were only 12,000 of these pressed before the more common yellow and black label and even the first pressing on this label in which there were 25,000 pressed. CONDITION - The disc does has some light scratches along with another three more deeper ones. Unfortunately, it does have a couple of very close skips on I SAW HER STANDING THERE, but the rest of the disc plays really well with very little surface noise. The cover does show handling wear and is slightly grubby on the back with edge wear and has an approximate 4” seam split, but no laminate damage. However the rarity and collectibility is all in the label which is in exceptionally good condition with no damage and minimal spindle wear. If I’m excellent to mint condition, this disc would be worth around £1,200. I’m asking £300.00 to start the auction. A highly collectible and one of the most sought after Beatles records of all.
