Description
My honest and genuine description from my research and what I believe to be accurate, but please judge for yourself by looking at photos provided. Here is what “I’m am sure and led to believe” is a genuine 1st pressing of PLEASE PLEASE ME /ASK ME WHY by THE BEATLES on the RED PARLOPHONE LABEL. The catalogue No is R4983. The matrix numbers are A side -7XCE 17217-1N and B side 7XCE 17218 -1N. There is NO MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN on the label. There are also other stamps on the run out groove which are quiet feint, but I’m sure they read MPT 1 on the B side along MPT2 on the A side (from what I can make out) also has DICK JAMES MUSIC CO LTD wording. The label in excellent condition with no damage or pen marks. The vinyl is, apart from one very small hair line scratch about 1cm long (which doesn’t affect play whatsoever) on the b side and a small very fine hair line on the b side, also not affecting play in any way, I would say, also in excellent condition with no major scratches or surface wear. Have tested this and literally play perfectly with no skips or jumps at all and hardly any surface noise. Disc was received in an original parlophone white and green FRAN the FAN MORPHY RICHARDS company sleeve. Item will be very securely packed to avoid damaged and sent 1st class recorded delivered.
