Description
An ultra rare copy of the FIRST PRESSING of THE BEATLES 12" vinyl LP " PLEASE PLEASE ME ". PMC1202.
The labels are black and gold with "Dick James Mus. Co." publishing credit for " I saw her standing there ", " Misery ", " Do you want to know a secret " and " There's a place ".
Rear of sleeve printers credit " Printed and Made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd. London " on right hand rear of the sleeve.
Front photo credited to Angus McBean bottom right of front cover. ( The "P" in the word Photo is directly beneath the second "S" in the word " songs" ( Please check out the photos ).
The sleeve is in good to very good condition with just some minor creasing to front cover. No creasing to rear of cover but the rear top left does have a 3.75" tape mark (tape since removed) and some minor lifting of the fold-over top flap. ( Again, please check out the photos ). Usual storage marks as to be expected from an album over fifty years old.
The vinyl does have numerous scratches etc on both sides which necessarily brings the starting price down, but still a rare and very collectable piece of Beatles vinyl memorabilia.
The record comes with its' original polythene lined inner sleeve which is in VG++ /EX. condition.
