Mega rare designate promotional issue of The Beatles' classic first Capitol LP album. The front cover has an original "THE BEATLES ARE COMING!" WIGS promotional sticker. The back cover has the promotional red ink stamping that has the print "FREE PROMOTIONAL ALBUM NOT TO BE SOLD," and received by radio stations and the press - a full week prior to the album's release, and the beginning of Beatlemania in America. This promotional copy has a bonus original vintage 14¾" X 11½" tabloid newspaper "NATIONAL RECORD NEWS : SPECIAL BEATLES ISSUE". The tabloid has a unique misprint in the form of the mixed names of the band members, except for Ringo, which were corrected with a ball pen in 1964. The newspaper is in Very Good condition, having tears and light age discoloration. Very 1st Capitol Records label variation without the publishing credits "BMI" or "ASCAP" in Very Good Plus condition, very clean with only some light spindle marks, which are hardly noticeable. The vinyl is somewhere between Very Good (conservative grading) and Very Good Plus, having light hairlines and scuffs that can't be felt with a finger nail. The vinyl plays very nice without any clicks or pops. The listing also includes an original Capitol royal blue inner sleeve in Very Good Plus condition, having some light splits and glue residue from the tape.
