Description

THE BEATLES Introducing ~RARE ad back ORIGINAL Vee Jay MONO 1062 Coburn printing

More rare and collectable LP’s this month!

All records are original pressings unless otherwise noted.

Authentic Mono AD BACK "Introducing The Beatles" LP on Vee Jay. Meets every requirement to distinguish it from any counterfeits. This first issue cover was manufactured in Chicago by the offset printing firm Coburn & Company just after July 23rd 1963. The company printed up the first 6000 front slicks and back liner notes. These 6000 are the only cover slicks that say "Printed in U.S.A" on the front cover, and THIS is one of them!

Cover Details:

Covers, both front and back, have glossy slicks. The front and back cover images are in very nice condition.

Printing on covers is of high quality and professional looking.

States "Printed In U.S.A." on front cover vertically from the bottom left corner along the spine.

1/4" flaps at top and bottom of inside cover as seen in photos.

Back cover pictures 25 color photos of other Vee-Jay albums.

Plain white inner sleeve (not Vee-Jay sleeve).

Label Details:

Labels have OVAL Vee-Jay logo, "THE BEATLES" and the title "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" above the center hole.

The vinyl trail-off, the gap between the end of the last track and the edge of the label, measures less than 1".

The letters "MR" are machine stamped inside of a circle in the trail-off area.

Original black labels are printed on a flat, non-glossy paper stock.

The AD BACK showing the 25 "fine albums" on Vee Jay

Black, non-gloss labels with album title and band name above spindle hole as well as OVAL Vee-Jay logo.

Bottom left front corner showing "Printed in USA," distinguishing it as a Coburn & Company printing.

21 photos are included so you know EXACTLY what you are buying.

Vinyl Condition: Somewhere between VG and G+ You are buying this mainly for the cover NOT the LP. The vinyl shows moderate surface wear and a few deeper scratches that can felt with fingernail. Plays with moderate noise and a few "ticks" in places. No skips on my system.

Cover Condition: Somewhere between VG+ and EX (excellent); STUNNING!! One of the cleanest you will see! No seam splitting. No ring wear. All edges are solid and intact. All writing on the spine is legible except for half of the 6 and the entire 2 from the catalog # at the very bottom corner. There is some minor crushing at lower left corner and some very faint crease marks along bottom edge and spine edge as seen in photos. The front also has some strange white spotting (not paper loss but looks and feels more like it’s actually part of the print) to the left of the T and above the B and again at very top right corner.

Grading is always conservative. STUDY PHOTOS CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING.
