Description

Here's a great collection of 8 Beatles LP's (includes 3 x Double LP's) and one 12" single.

The condition of these varies, but they are all playable, with some being better than others.

I have tried to give an honest appraisal of each below....visual mostly as I don't have time to play them all

1963 - PMC 1206 - With The Beatles - UK mono - 1N/1N matrices, black/yellow Parlophone labels

The vinyl looks and plays VG+ - a nice copy! The cover looks VG - quite tidy all round with just a bit of sticker to the front and a few light stains on the back (no inner sleeve)

1964 - PMC 1230 - A Hard Day's Night - UK mono - black/yellow Parlophone labels

The vinyl looks scuffed visually (like a small child scibbled on it), but it's not scratched and actually plays VGThe cover is VG+ quite tiday all round with a couple of small scuffs
1965 - PMC 1255 - Help! - UK mono - black/yellow Parlophone labelsThe vinyl is scratched, but doesn't skip or jump it just crackles a bit in places GOODThe cover has 2-3 large rips on the front and back, but is still fairly solid GOOD
1967 - PCS 7027 - SGT. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - UK - black/white labels with double boxed logos Parlophone/EMIThe vinyls look VG-  very light surface marks, but nothing serious, should play wellThe cover looks VG- a split on the spine and a scuff on the back, no loose inserts

1970 - PCSO - 7096 - Let It Be - EMI Australia release with Apple logos

The vinyl looks EX - very little surface marks and not much ring wear, a very nice copy

The cover looks VG on the front, but the back is scuffed and riped and is Fair only
1973 - PCSP 717 - The Beatles/1962-1966 (The Red Album) Double LP - UK black vinyl, red/white Apple logos, inner lyric sleevesThe vinyls look VG- - very light surface marks, but nothing serious, very little ring wearThe gatefold cover looks GOOD, clean and tidy inside, but the spine is split and there is a fair bit of shelf wearThe inner lyrics sleeves look VG- with a couple of splits
1973 - PCSP 718 - The Beatles/1967-1970 (The Blue Album) Double LP - UK black vinyl, blue/white Apple logos, inner lyric sleevesThe vinyls look VG - very light surface marks, but nothing serious, very little ring wearThe gatefold cover looks VG, clean and tidy inside with just a few little 'knicks' at the opening and a small split on the spineThe inner lyrics sleeves look VG no splits
1977 - PCSP 7212 - The Beatles - Love Songs - UK Double gatefold LP with black/white 2 box EMI - Parlophone labelsThe vinyls look VG - very light surface marks, but nothing serious, very little ring wear, should play wellThe cover looks VG- with no splits, but a couple of small scuffs on the back and light shelf wear
1982 - 12R 4949 - 12" single "Love Me Do /P.S. I Love You" in picture sleeveThe vinyl looks EX - nice and bright, should play wellThe cover is Fair only, badly scuffed front and back (see photo)

Record Collector's Grading System

·         Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

·         Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

·         Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

·         Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc...

·         Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

·         Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

·         Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
