This is an auction for The Beatles LP, Help.
This was released by Parlophone records in 1965 and has catalogue number PMC1255. This is the 1st press with a black and yellow label with "The Gramophone Co Ltd" and "Sold In U.K." label text. This also comes with a G & L sleeve with outline "Mono" on the front cover. Please check the pictures for clarification.
Matrix: XEX 549 2 XEX 550 2
Condition: The sleeve has some discolouring marks, buffing to the very corners, some lamination creases and a discreet pen mark just seen on the top right corner. Spine & edges ex, no tears, bends or creases, complete and graded at VG+. Please check the pictures for clarification, a nice sleeve. I have just checked the pictures and was a little surprised at the main picture of the LP cover, it is not as yellow as the picture makes it appear, please check the picture of the spine for clarification of the fact it does indeed still retain most of its white colour.
This comes with its original "Emitex" inner sleeve which comes in fine condition.
Both labels are clean, under a strong light a few spider spindle trails and one finger mark can be seen on each side, the centre hole shows the slightest touch of wear on both sides, being very fussy. Please check the pics on supersize.
The vinyl retains its new shine, in normal light one long thin feather scratch can be seen on side one, under a strong light a few other feather scratches can also be seen. I have test played this and did not hear a single crackle through both sides. The above mentioned long thin scratch is non-audible. Fine strong audio playing with no distortion, fading or dragging heard whatsoever. Certainly playing with very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Hardly played hence not suffering from any reduction due to wear and as stated no feckling of any kind, quiet breaks and entries and sounding as good as you can find it.
Graded at VG+, Harshly down-graded because it has the one visible thin scratch, hardly played, near mint or better audio, fine appearance, fine inner and labels and a worthwhile addition to any collection.
