Description
This is a very rare Beatles vinyl LP titled "HELP!" on the German Hor Zu label catalog number SHZE 162, a first pressing Stereo from 1965. This record is one of the rare Hor Zu releases with the word "Alle" as the first word of the rim print on the record label (see pictures). The “Alle” rim print was replaced by Hor Zu in 1966.
Records on the Hor Zu label from this period were pressed on extra thick vinyl. I purchased the record new in Germany while on duty with the US Army. It has been played exclusively on high end turntables and has only minor scuffs on the surface. This record does make typical sounds that one would expect from a 50 year old vinyl record such as light surface noise and a few minor pops but those are mostly heard between songs and there are no skips. This remains a great sounding record at high volume.
The label is in excellent condition. The outer jacket is solid with a small number of small nicks on the top and right side and slight corner wear on the upper left (see pictures). There is a slight hint of ring wear on the back. All seams are intact without splits.
The original inner sleeve with ads for other Hor Zu releases is intact and in excellent condition with only a small seam split at the bottom center (see picture).
This is a really nice record suitable for framing.
I will pack the record outside of the jacket to protect jacket integrity and ship in a sturdy LP mailer with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap for further protection.
