So you can't afford a 'Let It Be' boxed set, or the book in your box is falling apart? Then look no further, as here is a splendid copy of the 'Get Back' book that was part and parcel of the 1970 Beatles' 'Let It Be' boxed set. The book as most reading this will know was never sold in bookshops seperately and has never been reproduced, so copies that came with the box sets are all that there are.These books are notorious for surviving in less than than perfect condition and are often plagued by the pages coming away from the binding, and whilst this may not be a PERFECT example its certainly a very nice one.
As said earlier this copy has NO loose pages and the bonding is as tight as the day it was made. All the pages are clean and bright and having flicked through it fairly carefully, I've found there are no defacements or writing.
Besides loose pages the glossy covered 'Get Back' book covers are infamous for not surviving the years in mint condition - I myself have a lovely boxed set with shining LP and insides and even there the book covers have faint marks and signs of light use. This example however has nice covers - and there is only a light 'curl' to the front as you can hopefully see from the scan. In fact laid flat the open side edge only rises a centimetre from page one. The bottom r/h corner sadly has a crease about 3 cm long and though noticeable, it doesn't detract very much from the overall look.Along the bottom there is a tiny loss of black but o/w its a REAL nice front cover. The back has a few small creases and a couple of faint stains, but again its most presentable! The spine is perfect bar a LITTLE loss of black at each end - i've touched these up before on other 'Get Back' books with black marker and you can't tell the difference, I've however not touched this particular book I'm selling.
