First, I must state this: NO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS, PLEASE!

Hello and welcome to my auction. Up for grabs is a copy of a rare Beatles LP called COLLECTORS ITEMS. For those who might not know much about this release, it is actually a bootleg with a 1979 copyright date, but made to look like an OFFICIAL CAPITOL release. And let me say that it is a very convincing bootleg, complete with purple Capitol label and catalog number SPRO-9463. The LP is supposedly a promotional item, with "Not for Sale" on the back cover above the Capitol/EMI logos. The back cover also sports pictures of the entire Beatles catalog, in the fashion of their old releases. Front cover is a cool collage of Beatles record covers and memorabilia...much more snazzy than Capitol's dull RARITIES cover.

Track-wise, it's similar to the official Capitol release RARITIES with a few differences...

Side One:

Sound quality is top-notch all the way through. I will conservatively grade the cover as VG++, with only the beginnings of some minor corner-crunching. Vinyl is NM.
