THE BEATLES COLLECTION 1979 BOX SET 13 LPs EMI Parlophone AUSTRALIA Rarities 12"
Australian Parlophone's domestic version of The Beatles Collection released in 1979 using the Australian editions of With The Beatles (PCSO 3045) and The Beatles For Sale (PCSO 3062); both bear cover art unique to Australia. This set also includes Rarities and, because it was mastered by Australian Parlophone, She's A Woman, Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand and This Boy were all pressed in true stereo. The only album missing is The Magical Mystery Tour. Pressed in Australia with their original labels - orange Australian Parlophone and green Apple. Rarities was put out on the EMI label and the back cover said "Sampler Album - Not For Sale". The first 2,000 boxes were imported from England. The Beatles (the "White Album") comes with a large poster insert featuring photos of the band on one side and song lyrics on the other.

   The blue leather-imitation cardboard box (with embossed lettering) has a lot of wear and tear with all four corners of the cover split, however, it still does its job of holding and protecting all 13 albums. The vinyl LPs themselves are in EX to mostly NM condition - they appear to have been played very little, with no visible scratches or scuffs. They still retain 100% of their original gloss and shine and the lables are clean and bright. The sleeves are worn and almost all have splits, however, they're still bright and clean without any major damage. Each album comes in its original static-free/dust-free clear plastic inner sleeve.
