"YESTERDAY AND TODAY" ORIGINAL 1966 US STEREO CAPITOL ST-2553, SECOND STATE ICONIC 'BUTCHER COVER' PASTED OVER WITH THE 'TRUNK' COVER, WITH MINT- ORIGINAL LP & ORIGINAL GOLDENROD DISCOGRAPHY INNER SLEEVE. The Holy Grail!
Owning this guy has been a dream, its probably the coolest record in my collection, and is in gorgeous gorgeous shape; but its time to let someone else enjoy in owning this Rock N' Roll relic!
Jacket is in Excellent condition with a gorgeous spine and no seam splits whatsoever. Additionally, this copy is brilliant because the paste-over trunk cover was not put on entirely straight, so the original butcher cover is easily viewable and pokes out at the top of the jacket. The 5 on the back bottom right of the jacket denotes that this particular copy was pressed in Los Angeles.
This is one of the rare stereo copies, and it is incredibly difficult to find in comparison to its mono counterpart. The initial 750,000 run of this album was produced at a ratio of approximately 5:1 in favor of mono over stereo - so the mono copies are significantly more common.
Additionally this copy is still unpeeled making it more valuable - So many of these have been peeled and in many cases destroyed while attempting the peel, and as a result unpeeled stereos have become incredibly scarce and desirable.
