Our finished paintings are only stamped after they have been individually inspected by our Art Director Glyn Winter BA (Bachelor of Arts), MA (Master of Arts) and trust us - if its not up to scratch he wont let it leave our studios. If it doesn't bare our stamp its not an Urban Fine Arts quality original handpainted work. Watch out for some creative wording used here on Ebay by some who use the term "painting" very liberally. We define a painting as painted by hand using actual paints on to a blank canvas - no form of printing or under-printing is used in our works whatsoever - why by a cheap print when you can have a real painting?

Q: Can You Delay Shipping - I Want to Buy Another and Have Them Sent Together? Yes, but please note that we can not combine postage costs for the reasons stated below so you will still incur full postage costs for each item you purchase from us. Q: If I Purchase More Than Multiple Paintings Can You Combine Shipping Costs? Unfortunately not, for a number of very valid reasons. Without going into too much detail the reason is because all of our paintings are individually packaged and boxed prior to the start of the auctions. It is not possible for us to get more than one painting into a single box. You may or may not also be aware that all couriers now use what is called a Volumetric System which means that they will charge by volume instead of weight if the parcel's volume is sufficiently greater than its weight using their calculation formula. The maximum allowable volume that our courier (and almost all couriers) will carry is a combined volume of 300cm (which is calculated by adding the length of the box to the girth of the box - girth being defined as widthx2 + depthx2). Our boxes are designed to screw every last cm of max allowable dimension from this limit in order to provide maximum protection for the painting during transit - therefore, we cannot make our boxes larger and neither can we simply strap two of them together as both would exceed the max allowable dimensions and the painting would be returned to us as undeliverable and we would be fined by the courier. Therefore, we have no choice but to pay the courier fees for each individual painting and because we sell our paintings on ebay at prices typically lower even than our trade prices to galleries we have to pass on this cost to the courier. Q: Why is Shipping Expensive? Do You Profit From Shipping? We do not think our shipping is expensive - in fact it is one of the lowest on eBay for artworks of our size because we get preferential rates from our couriers for shipping at volume. As we mention in the answer above, each painting when packaged is very large and couriers now surcharge for excess volume so even though the actual weight is usually only around 5kg the volumetric calculation couriers now use means that they 'volume out' at a theoretical 17.5kg and so cost is based on that weight and not the actual weight. In addition, we spare no cost on ensuring that your painting is properly packaged and arrives in gallery condition. We spend over £5 per painting on packaging alone which when combined with time to package and administration means that we certainly do not profit on packaging at all and in fact we actually charge less than cost - our accountants can confirm this. For this reason we cannot discount shipping in any way. Q: Can I Collect the Painting ? Can I Use My Own Courier to Collect it and Deliver to Me? Yes, in both cases you are more than welcome - please call us on 0161 304 0029 after winning the auction to arrange. However, due to costs of packaging please note that we do not provide full boxing of the painting (only bubble wrap) if you collect in person as they are only necessary for mailing purposes - we can box the painting for you if you use your own courier to collect from us but we do reserve the right in certain circumnstances to charge a packaging fee to cover costs. QUESTIONS REGARDING THE ARTWORK Q: Is the Painting Framed? Yes, It is framed in the contemporary gallery style of canvas stretched around a wooden frame which is 3cm deep at the sides and stapled on the reverse. Please see the auction description above for a full explanation of the methods used. The painting comes ready to hang and full care and hanging instructions are provided. Q: Is the Painting Varnished? In many cases the painting will have been very lightly sprayed with a colourless, soft satin varnish to protect it from harmful UV rays and dust and dirt as well as to bring out the beauty of the colours. This is done at the artists discretion and depends entirely on whether the painting is sufficiently dried (it is not advisable to varnish a painting for the first few months after it has been painted in some cases) but when the paintings are varnished the colours and beauty are vastly enhanced and so we would generally recommend it. Q: Is it a Painting or a Print? It is a hand painted painting - we do NOT produce or sell prints in any way - we are not printers. Q: I've Since Seen a Similar Painting on Ebay - Did You Create it? Are You Affiliated with it? Unless the auction seller is listed as urbanfinearts then no, we only sell under the ebay ID username 'urbanfinearts'. When we started on Ebay we were the only people selling pop art in our style and themes and we have gained a great reputation for our style and quality not just on ebay but in the 'real world' as well so to speak. It seems that many other ebay traders have been 'greatly inspired' by our work and unless they breach our copyright (which sadly they sometimes do) we happily co-exist with them in the spirit of eBay. But we would like to make it crystal clear that we are not in anyway affiliated with any other seller on ebay and the quality of our paintings should not be taken as an indication of the quality of theirs.
