THE BEATLES ABBEY ROAD 1969 APPLE UK EXPORT PPCS-7088 BOXED EMI LOGO IMPORT SHRINK
The export edition copy of Abbey Road with the black and silver Boxed EMI logo Parlophone label. Fully laminated cover printed by Garrod and Lofthouse International Ltd. "THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD. (capital letter)" is printed at the perimeter along with the "(P) 1969" and "Mfd. in U.K." statement on the left part of the label. Just like the back cover, Side 2 label doesn't have the "Her Majesty" track. The export catalog number on the label is PPCS 7088. The back of the sleeve has a super rare gold and red Parlophone foil sticker over the Apple logomark. Despite the issue being the 2nd export pressing on the black Parlophone label with the silver boxed EMI logo, released at the end of 1969, its considered to be extremely rare and has a great value among record collectors. Matrix numbers: Side 1: YEX 749-2; Side 2: YEX 750-1. Original Parlophone Records black inner sleeve with a die-cut circular opening on one side. The cover is Near Mint condition with the vinyl being in Very Good Plus condition. The inner sleeve is in Near Mint Minus condition. There are a couple of long surface scuffs on the vinyl, but fortunately, they don't affect the quality of the playback.
