The Beatles - 'Yellow Submarine'. PMC 7070
The Beatles 1969 UK 1st MONO FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of the 'Yellow Submarine' LP. Released on the 17th January 1969, this was the Beatles worst selling LP here in the UK making it now particularly rare. The Yellow Submarine LP was also the final album to be issued in both mono and stereo. With far, far fewer mono versions being pressed making this a sought after release.
These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.
Released on the dark Apple Records label both sides feature the 'Sold in the UK....' text. The vinyl is housed within the original 1969 black die cut inner sleeve and correct 1969 MONO outer sleeve with horizontal red lines on the back. This is the rarer version which fails to list any printers name along the bottom. The sleeve is a particularly nice example (see pictures).

Side 1. XEX 715-1 1 O
Side 2. XEX 716-1 1 GD
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT- condition. A nice example but a small seam split to the bottom edge.
The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT- condition. I will include an additional inner sleeve to protect the original.
