The Beatles 1962 UK 1st FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of 'Love Me Do / P.S. I Love You' 7" single. Released on the 5th October 1962, this comes complete with the rare original 'URGENT SPECIAL RUSH COPY TOP POP!' demo sleeve.
These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.
Released on the red Parlophone label both sides feature the ‘Recording First published 1962’ text. The ‘PT’ tax code is embossed on the a-side label. Both sides OMIT the ‘Made in Great Britain’ text. The ‘Lennon - McCartney’ writing credit and the ‘LOVE ME DO’ text are NOT aligned correctly. A very desirable early version of this single.

Side 1. 7XCE 17144-1N 1 G G ZPT
Side 2. 7XCE-17145-1N 1 G A ZPT
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition. A great example.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. I will include an additional sleeve to protect the original.
