A TRULY AMAZING 'RECORD SHOP CONDITION' COLLECTION ALERT! This week I discovered what can only be described as the BEST conditioned collection I have ever seen! The 1 previous owner either played them once or twice to tape each LP, and in many cases they were NEVER PLAYED AT ALL! Even better still the 1 previous owner NEVER MOVED HOUSE as he inherited it when he was only 16 in the early 1970s. Therefore the covers have remained in as AMAZING condition as the records - as they have NEVER suffered a house move! The records were stored vertically in record racks, or filed away in record boxes, and were barely touched since the day they were bought! In fact AT LEAST 90% of this collection has remained in incredible RECORD SHOP CONDITION - and the rest are very VERY close to it! He also had a habit of buying records the day they came out (so many have the 'Earliest' 1st Press matrixes, which are seldom seen!), and he also worked for Asylum Records in the 1970s, so many on this label he actually recieved prior to release! Obviously please take the time to read each description for clarification - but nearly EVERY SINGLE LP is in truly AMAZING condition! And although some of the titles from this collection are seen fairly often - they are almost NEVER seen in this truly STUNNING condition now! RECORD GRADING:- The record is in absolutely AWESOME condition and is VERY bright & shiny looking indeed! It has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, only 2 or 3 absolutely ULTRA light TINY surface traces, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS AMAZING! The record plays with NO pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, NO distortion and barely ANY crackle AT ALL! The record must grade MINT(Minus)! AWESOME RECORD!
COVER:- The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Flipback Laminated MONO Cover is in BRILLIANT condition! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear (PERFECT side words!), NO splits, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), NO rips, NO tears, shiny laminate, NO stickers, only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), NO annotations, and NO writing! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering (with some possible evidence of trimming here)! Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, VERY nice flipbacks (apart from a VERY minor repair to the bottom left flipback corner), and NO writing! The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better - and is a very VERY nice cover indeed!
