Description
I am very pleased to be able to offer this amazing LP from 1970 on the ever wonderful Perception label.Original American LP release on Perception with green striped labels. This is their first self-titled album (their second album was also self-titled, and is just another version of this LP with two new songs and a few songs missing). A rare jazz-rock release from 1970. It has often been said that there are two types of music 'good music' and 'bad music', this, very definitely, is VERY good music. Of special interest to fans of Otis Smith and music in general who are curious about his early work and how he was already shaping up to take the moniker of one of the greatest soul singers ever.
Both the Gatefold sleeve and the record are in excellent condition, there are a few marks on the vinyl but they are inaudible and do not affect play.
The Perception and Today labels are finally enjoying the attention they deserve thanks to the excellent collection on BBE records, this, to me, is the finest, most solid LP on Perception, a truly great record label.
