Description

I am the seller - Ron Stein, the founder and first owner of Lakeshore Record Exchange in Rochester New York from 1980 through 1988, where we were one of the first stores in the U.S. to specialize in the new 1980s heavy metal.  We did club shows and in-stores and sponsored the Metallic Overdrive radio show on Friday and Saturday nights.  I recently bought a small collection of about 15 pieces of original 1980s heavy metal vinyl, this piece was part of that collection.  I'll be listing these on eBay for the next few days, so watch my listings!  Hello to all of my old Lakeshore friends! 
This is an ORIGINAL 1987 FIRST PRESS MEGAFORCE / ATLANTIC RECORDS U.S. LP titled 'The Legacy', with nine tunes from California San Francisco bay area thrash metallers Testament.  It is Megaforce / Atlantic Records U.S. catalog number 81741-1.  Record comes packaged inside the cover in its original custom inner sleeve with song lyrics and album credits.

Condition of record is VG+ with some light visible sleeve and surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play.  Condition of cover is a low VG+ with some wrinkles and bends, some ring and contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners, no splits or tears.  Custom inner sleeve has some wrinkles and a very small split in the middle of its bottom edge which I have repaired with clear tape, no other splits or tears.
This LP would make a choice addition to any Testament or 1980s thrash metal record collection!
