Description
A mint copy of what is arguably his most popular album, "A Rainbow In Curved Air", by minimalist composer/keyboardist, TERRY RILEY, released in the U.K. by CBS Records, #S 64564, in 1971. The album consists of 2 lengthy compositions. The title track features T. R. on electric organ, electric harpsichord, rockischord, dumbec + tambourine, in an ebb and flow of cyclical patterns creating a sound adopted by progressive jazz/rock outfit, Soft Machine, as well as by other minimalist composers such as Philip Glass or Steve Reich; and soundscape artist, Brian Eno. The other composition comprises Side 2 of the disc called "Poppy Nogood and the Phantom Band" where Mr. Riley performs on soprano saxophone + electric organ. Cover is in excellent condition with slight rubbing at the corners. There is evidence of an old price sticker (removed) at the upper right-hand corner. Vinyl is in mint condition.
