Description

This is the original album by Terry Noland and called "Terry Noland", issued in Mono on (American) Brunswick BL 54041 in 1958. Terry Noland's claim to fame rests on having written the song "Hypnotized" (a hit for The Drifters in 1957), but more so because he was a friend of Buddy Holly, and some of Noland's Brunswick material was recorded at the same New Mexico studio where Buddy Holly recorded under the supervision of Norman Petty. Noland never became a star, and in recent years has traded heavily on his Buddy Holly connections.
This album comes from the collection of a British Decca record company executive, who received it as a sample for consideration to be issued on the British market - it wasn't. The disc is in excellent, even mint, condition. The unlaminated cardboard sleeve has no splits on the edges, or creasing, but one corner is very slightly dented; the sleeve is in overall very good and better condition, despite showing minor signs of ageing and long-term storage.
