Terence and Tight Wire - The Eighth Day on Win Records 1982
Remarkable self-produced record that has to be listened to in entirety to be fully understood (or not!)..
It appears to be a concept record about Jimmi Hendrix coming back from the grave to play one more show.
It begins with an insane song were he sings (very off key and with phaser on his voice) over an epic
choir and piano about how "He" died but is coming back on the Eighth Day. Then theres a short
"Call of the Spirit". Suddenly we are pummeled by a blistering 10 minute ultra-heavy Hendrix Medley.
Side two starts out with two instrumental funky rock tracks chock full of lead guitar with peculiar names like:
"Cleaner Than the Board of Health," and "Chris is Here Now". Seemingly a complete digression from
the previous goings-on. OR! Could it be what Jimmi WOULD have done next?
Things get even stranger after that, we are presented with a WAY over the top rendition of
"Auld Lang Syne" with intense reworked sentimental lyrics thanking Jimmi for what hes done.
MUST BE HEARD TO BE BELIEVED! Itll melt your brain for sure. Check out the clips!
Comes in blank plain white cover which grades as VG+. Vinyl is EX.
My Grading:
SS, NM, EX, VG+, VG, VG-, G
SS (still sealed): a record that is perfect factory sealed.
NM (near mint): vinyl that is unplayed or has only been listened to a couple times and plays perfect. only the slightest jacket wear.
EX (excellent): a very well taken care of record that has only been played a few times. only the slightest crackle. jacket looks great.
VG+ (very good plus): a good, well taken care of record that may play with a little crackle, but nothing distracting. this is the condtion of your average
listened-to record in a good home.
VG (very good): plays with no skips but may have noticeable surface noise especially in quieter passages. Cover may have seam/ring wear or light staining. not a bad copy, but not a great one either.
VG- (very good minus): this record has probably not been well cared for and probably plays with consistent noise. cover may have water damage, serious ring wear, or seam splitting.
G (good): this record is in bad condition. i will not list a record in this condition unless it is extremely rare.
F (fair): this record is trashed and probably would be hard to listen to.
only ultra rare historical LPs would be worth dealing with here.
