Shirley Temple and Arthur Treacher do FIVE separate and different takes of the song “Knocked ‘em In The Old Kent Road (Wot ‘Cher) from the 1939 classic “The Little Princess”.

You can hear the director count in the takes and each is indeed different as they work out the song.

12” studio acetate playing at 78 rpm

Comes from the Santa Monica estate of an old Hollywood sound engineer

Record is in nice shape with just a bit of wear and needs a good cleaning to play its best

These are all part of a massive collection of old time radio related recordings from my personal collection. These records were never sold in stores and made in very limited quantities for radio stations. In some cases they are metal or glass based acetates and could very well be either the only copies in existence or one of only two or three made.

I ran the Archives for SPERDVAC (The Society To Preserve and Encourage Radio Drama, Variety and Comedy) from the mid-1970’s to the mid-1980’s. I have always been an avid collector of old time radio transcriptions and studio masters of audio tracks and commercials for classic films. For the next month or so, I will be auctioning some of the very best items of this kind ever to hit eBay.
