MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original “Microgroove” HMV Records Extended Play Mono very first press released by “La Voz De Su Amo” (“His Master Voice” in Spanish) Records in Spain in 1961, made and distributed by Compañía Del Gramófono Odeon, S.A.E., catalog number 7EPL 13.746, with machine etched matrix numbers 7TCL 1553 G in Side A and 7TCL 1554 G in Side B, with blue/silver “La Voz Del Amo” Records labels of the period, large center and TRANSLUCENT BLUE WAX. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from this side of the world!!!

“Twistin' The Twist” was originally released in France in December 1961 and almost at the same time this 4-Tracks EP was also released in Spain, with TRANSLUCENT BLUE WAX. Song titles are written in English, translated to Spanish, except “Lil’ Joe”, written in English only, with full credits for Giuseppe Mengozzi as composer and additional information about rights society and the tax law applicable in Spain. It’s also informed in both labels that songs were recorded live but it doesn’t sound so “live” for my ears, it sounds more like with pre-recorded applauses. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE SPANISH PRESS of this 4-tracks EP by Teddy Martin, with Spanish-written song titles and UNIQUE TRANSLUCENT BLUE WAX, a record rarely seen and maybe auctioned here in eBay by the very first time, A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Teddy Martin and early days of Rock’N’Roll/Twist music!!! WOW!!!

This record comes with the original generic blank cover used in the radio station which originally owned the record and it’s in VG+ or even EX- condition, with evident age browning and faint blemishes, with some little rips in the mouth edge, some wear in corners, the EP song title written in Spanish and the stamp with the archive number at the radio station and name of the radio program. The record is in EX or EX+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with only some light scuffs, hard to see at first sight, which don’t affect play at all. Labels are in EX- or EX condition both sides, with some spindle hole wear and very faint blemishes, with a white sticker with the archive catalog number at the radio station in Side A. The sound is in strong EX or even EX+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with occasional and barely audible soft crackles, more evident in the silent parts between tracks and in the last seconds of each side, which don’t really cause any distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE and UNIQUE SPANISH 4-TRACKS EP with TRANSLUCENT BLUE WAX, with a very nice glossy look, almost immaculate labels and great sound quality after about 61 years, which won’t disappoint anyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Spanish EP!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
