Technics 8 Track Player / Recorder ... A Technics / Panasonic Quadraphonic Player / Recorder Serial No RB401771 set for working in UK on 220 - 240 Volts 50 hz. As you can see from the pictures it is excellent cosmetic condition, the only damage being a chip on the wood side front bottom left the size of a small pea [see picture]. On the front has the following .. Time counter in minutes and seconds, Headphone 1/4 jack with switch for front and rear, An AC out that controls the mains socket on the rear that can be switched or unswitched, A dot display that indicates track No playing, A 2 channel and 4 channel status lamp, Program selector button, Channel selector button, Eject button, Record button, Fast forward button, Pause button, A rotary knob that has 4 positions autoeject 1-4, autoeject 1-2, continuous play and repeat, 4 level meters with corresponing level controls and 4 microphone inputs. On the rear has line in front and back and line out front and back via 4 rca connectors each or one 5 pin din socket. both record / playback. The player works fine on both quad as-well as stereo 8 track cartridges. The recording has not been tested as I have no blank tapes but in good faith I believe it to be working. This was my late Fathers and have sold the quad 8 tracks earlier in the year as well as car players this is now the last to go.
