On offer in this set-price listing is the INCREDIBLY rare 12" 33-rpm microgroove recording released in 1953, of Peter TCHAIKOVSKY'S 'Piano Concerto No. 1 B Flat Minor, Op. 23' performed by soloist EMIL GILELS with the Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra (PO) under Sixten Ehrling on Swedish 'METRONOME CLP 512'. Both the record and the jacket are near mint (NM). Outside of slight toning and a few expected bends, the fragile and flimsy jacket is exceptional and very fresh. There is only a bit of edge wear. The disc looks unplayed with factory fresh gloss. Please examine the eight SUPERSIZED photos, as they are part of the description. The records in the Metronome's 'CLP Series' other than the Sibelius discs, seem to be even rarer and more difficult to come by, especially in great condition such as this one.
