Another of Professor Johnson's Pure Analogue recordings; in fact, one of the very last ever issued on vinyl (the last run housed only in a plain white-board sleeve before wrapping). It features the incomparable Eileen Farrell in the jazz mode, singing the delightful songs of Alec Wilder.
Selections include LOVERS AND LOSERS, THE LADY SINGS THE BLUES, WHO CAN I TURN TO, I'LL BE AROUND, and WHERE'S THAT HEARTACHE, among others.
Trust me, this is one fabulous lady, with a fabulous sound; a powerful opera singer who just plain loved singin' jazz.
Jacket is still in its shrink-wrap, which is torn in two spots (I’d simply remove it). Record is near mint, pristine.
A beautiful demonstration record for female voice.
