Rare 1958 Mono First Press of Savoy LP MG-12136 "Tanganyika Strut" Produced by RUDY VAN GELDER.
This is a beautiful copy of a very scarce LP featuring an immensely talented lineup of musicians. Maroon Microgroove Labels with Silver Text.
featuring:
JOHN COLTRANE, tenor saxophone; WILBUR HARDEN, flugelhorn; CURTIS FULLER, trombone;
TOMMY FLANAGAN, piano; HOWARD WILLIAMS, piano; ALI JACKSON, bass; and ART TAYLOR, drums.
Record: VG+ The surface on both sides of the LP maintain a deep, rich shine and the grooves look well preserved. There are very faint signs of use and storage but it is a visually beautiful copy. There may be slight noise in quiet passages simply due to the sheer age of the record itself. Play tested, sounds excellent.
Cover: VG The LP jacket has more signs of use and has minor fading, staining, and a maybe 2"split along the top edge but is still fully intact and well preserved considering its age.
