TAMPA RED & GEORGIA TOM-BLUES 78 RPM RECORD VG+-10 inch-Perfect recording-0212-A I have not attempted to clean this record but I have played it and it plays just like a very old, well played 78rpm record from the 1920-1930's. There is one small crack on edge of record, but it does not cause any skipping when you play it. This is a very rare recording and I am placing the opening bid just below a Tampa Red & Georgia Tom blues 78rpm sold on Ebay. I am retired and will be listing all of my old 78 rpm and LP-33 1/3 rpm records from my years of collecting, as well as my collection of Stereo 33 1/3 records from the 60's through the 80's. I have enjoyed all of them for the past 50 years and look forward to sending them on to others who enjoy the old 78's and Vinyl 33 1/3 records from the past. Generally 78s are made of a brittle material which uses a shellac resin (thus their other name is shellac records). The scratches you will see on these records do not cause skipping, and the records will still play quite well. I consider the scratches and the accompanying static to be a special provenance that gives 78 records their special place in my heart and my collection. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
