TAMAM SHUD - Evolution
Original vinyl release. CBS (Australia); cat. # SBP 233761 – 1969.
This is the debut album from one of Australia’s most revered prog/heavy bands from the late 60s/early 70s. With its rarity these days, it remains a highly sought-after item if it’s in good nick, and this one certainly is!!
Featuring four songs from Paul Witzig’s contemporaneous surf film of the same name, “Evolution” also provides the blueprint for future Oz classic music – it’s heavy and relentless and rocks like all-geddout. An absolute milestone and no home should be without it!
This album is in glorious condition (both playing surface and cover) - and it’s pretty much impossible to find in its original format in this condition! Let me assure interested collectors about the most important aspect: the record itself sounds damn fine, with minimal snap crackle & pop – it’s terrific for a record of its age!!!
