Surf 45 THE REVELS Intoxica / Comanche DOWNEY 123 ~ Promo ~ MINTY! Pulp Fiction. This exceptionally rare M- to Mint, c.1961 never played NOS White Label Promo copy is part of an amazing treasure discovered stashed away in a house in the Philadelphia area. The owner was part of a syndicated radio program and received copies of many now extremely hard to find records in the 1960s & 70s. Many of these records have not seen the light of day since then! I would grade this one at Mint but I know that even the tiniest speck on a label, etc. may have an affect on grading, so I'll be conservative, opt for M- & let you be the final judge....I think you will be pleasantly surprised! The movie soundtrack Pulp Fiction brought this rare surf track b side Comanche to the ears of the mainstream. Downey Studios, conveniently located on the other side of the velvet rope at Wetzels Record Town, was arguably one of the coolest spots to get wax near the Pacific. Many of the sleaziest riffs, raunchiest horns and tassel twirling surf numbers were placed down in grooves here.
Now you can own this hard to find track in ultra rare Mint condition!
