Description
Rare Vintage Pathe Disc - London Imperial Vocal Quartette (78 RPM)
This listing is for two exceptionally rare Pathe Discs (78 RPM), featuring performances by the London Imperial Vocal Quartette, in their original Pathe sleeves. These unique records play at 90 revolutions per minute (RPM) and are designed to be played from the center outwards with a special Pathe sapphire sound box, eliminating the need for a needle. Made in Belgium.
Record 1 (Cat. No. 78953):
A-side: "Brightly Dawns Our Wedding Day" from "The Mikado" (Sullivan) Matrix/Catalog No.: 61099.R.A Record 2 (Cat. No. 78954):
A-side: "A Regular Royal Queen" from "The Gondoliers" (Sullivan) Matrix/Catalog No.: 61101.R.A Condition: Used, vintage. Both sleeves show significant wear, tearing, and discoloration consistent with age. The records themselves appear to be in good visual condition for their age but have not been play-tested.
Important Note for Buyers: These Pathe Discs are unique and require specific equipment to play them correctly (a special Pathe sapphire sound box and a player capable of 90 RPM, playing from the center out). They are not compatible with standard 78 RPM phonographs or modern record players.
