Description
This is one of the most unique versions of Elvis Presley's debut album. After doing some research on this LP, I've found out that this was probably made in Germany during the 50's, for exclusive sale in U.S. Armed Forces supply stores, printed for the G.I. market. There is an embossed stamp in the upper right hand corner of the back cover, showing a price and other numbers. The label is very interesting, slightly glossy, with silver writing. Although it states on the record label that it was, "Made in U.S.A.", there are the words, "Manufactured in Germany" stamped into the run off area, between the last song and the record label. The record cover is in pretty good shape. The front cover is very nice, with a few marks on the "P" in Presley. Aside from that, the classic front cover image of Elvis is very clear. The rear cover is also in really good condition, with good clear photographs and text. There is a slight crease mark going through the price stamp in the upper right hand corner. Both the top and bottom edge of the cover have 4 inch splits coming from the record jacket's opening. The vinyl is good, playable condition, but both sides have noticable surface marks. None of the scuffs look very deep, but I sure that if you wanted to play it, there would probably be some surface noise. I've included quite a few photos to try to give you an idea of this rare record's overall conition, but please ask me if you have any questions about this record. Because of the rarity of this LP and so many variables in record grading, I'm offering this LP for auction with NO RESERVE! Good luck bidding. Shipping will be based on winning bidder's location. Will ship worldwide via USPS, UPS, or DHL. Paypal is the preferred method of payment. Insurance is optional, but recommended.
