SUN RA
when angels speak of love
Recorded in 1963 and released in 1966, this is the rarest of all "Saturn" Sun Ra albums, manufactured in very small quantities. Only a handful of the original LPs still exist. Recorded during Sun Ra and the band's residence in N.Y.C., and considered by many to be his richest musical period, this album is a lost artifact from the peak period of the "New Thing" revolution in jazz in New York City's Greenwich Village in the mid '60s. This is an Original album, NOT a reissue, side A is graded VG because of the noise, there are NO skips, i have played this album on a NEW Technics USB turntable, and on an older Pioneer turntable with no issues, NO skips at all, side two is relatively noise free there are visual discrepancies, I would conervatively grade side 2 VG+, thre are marks on this record that you can see, but there are no skips and there is only noise on side one, this is the RAREST Sun Ra album ever, only a test pressing is shown on Popsike and with NO cover sold for 610 bucks. This copy belonged to John Sinclair, the former promoter and manager of the MC5. His signature is on the back of the record, This record was bought from his private collection in New Orleans in the 1980's. This record does not skip and is EXTREMELY rare, Good Luck.
I meant to say that side B is the VG side and side A is the VG+ side, same condition stated, just different sides.
