This is THE ultimate Stone Roses collectable, and is a must for any serious fan's collection
This single was only ever officially released as one run of 1200 12" singles. The vast majority of the copies that come for sale are bootlegs, including many that have sold on eBay for very high values. It was never released on 7" single. Even the 'Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide' warns "1,200 only, beware of counerfeits!" indicating the prolificacy of them.
This record includes; Side A with yellow label, reverse label being an extract of the artwork on the cover; handwritten 'TimTom' signature on run off; imprint of THIN 001A -1U-1 and THIN 001B - 1U -1 on vinyl. None of these features appear on the bootlegs.
Don't be fooled by bootleg copies advertised as mint. With such a limited number produced and the legend that the last ones were thrown in the road by Gareth Evans and then reversed over in a jeep, it must be virtually impossible to find a mint 20 year old copy.
Using strict Record Collector Guidelines I would rate this as VERY GOOD for both the sleeve and the vinyl.
The sleeve is generally better than Very Good but for two tiny blemishes. A very small white mark (1.5mm in diameter) is on the sleeve below the word 'ME'. There is a very small tear (5mm) in the top opening between the U and the N of 'Young'. Other than that there is nothing other than the odd minor crease and minimal corner wear. There are no signs of folding or spine splitting. You can see in the attached photographs that these are only minor defaults. The record comes in the original inner sleeve.
I've played the vinyl once to test it. Although there are some surface marks, and the occassional light scratch there is little deterioration in the sound quality. There are certainly no major scratches or jumps in the play. The biggest mark is on the run off groove. It sounds great!
I'm not prepared to take any risks with this so postage will be by Royal Mail Special Delivery only. This ensures the full cost of the item is insured, not just the £28 max that recorded offers. I'm prepared to post worldwide but please contact in advance if you want postage costs overseas. As you would expect, this wil be wrapped with care in proper record packaging with stiffeners.
If you're not happy with this record I will offer a full refund.
Any more questions please ask, I'm happy to send more detailed photos by e-mail.
No reserve on this, good luck!
