Mega rare Presswell test pressing of The Rolling Stones' 1971 classic LP, Sticky Fingers.

Test pressings rarely become available for this ilk of classic rock album - I know of one that was put up for auction in 2005 - so when I say mega rare, I don't think I'm exaggerating.

As such, this isn't a copy you'd want to play. It's a genuine collector's item. For the most part, the record is in VG condition. This means that there are some visible marks, but none that will unduly affect the quality of playback.

However, and I need to be absolutely clear about this, there is a defect to the vinyl on track 1 of the B Side. Whether this was part of the manufacturing process or if it has appeared subsequently, there is a small blister that makes the stylus jump across the opening verse.

The test pressing that was sold in 2005 was pressed on 12th April 1971. This one was pressed a week earlier on the 5th April. This may mean that a defect was originally detected, it may not.

What ought to be clear though is that this is going to be a once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity to own 12 inches of classic rock'n'roll vinyl heritage.

The disc, like most of the very earliest test pressings, comes in a generic, plain white sleeve. Postage will be Royal Mail tracked and signed with insurance up to £500. U.K. -£10.00, Europe - £17.50, Rest of the World - £25.00.
