Description
Absolutely perfect MINT and UNPLAYED copy of this rare live album featuring recordings from Porcupine Tree's first gig and BBC Sessions. Only 500 were made and released on the Chromatic Label (a sub label of Delerium) in 1997 and this copy has sat on a shelf unplayed since then.
Spiral Circus has never been re-printed and Steven Wilson has said that there is no intention to reissue the album. Since the BBC do not now allow BBC recordings to be mixed with non-BBC material its is likely this album will ever be re-issued legitimately in any event.
This copy is from Richard Allen's personal collection and has been in storage since it was made. Richard ran Delerium and signed Porcupine Tree in the early 1990s managing them up until 2003.
SPIRAL CIRCUS LP
The is Porcupine Tree's first live album from their first tour . The tracks were recorded directly from the mixing desk in three different locations of England during December, 1993. The first half of the album was taken from the shows in the BBC and Borderline, London, and the second half from The Nag's Head, High Wycombe.
Spiral Circus was first released in 1994 on cassette only. This tape was given away free to subscribers of the Transmission information service. It was then reissued on vinyl in 1997 limited to 500 copies. Both editions are deleted at the present
Despite the fact that the track is not included, the album name is a reference to a section in the song "The Sky Moves Sideways Phase 1".
