Description
Steel Pulse Handsworth Revolution LP 1978 UK 1st Press ILPS 9502 A-1U/B-1U Gatefold Outer Sleeve Google info:- "STRAIGHT TO WEBSTERS' HEAD": This hand-etched message on Side A is an insider joke by the legendary British mastering engineer George Peckham . It refers to Websters, a famous British brewery/pub brand . "ROOT'S ROCK": Stamped on Side B, this is Peckham's nod to the powerful genre of the music. The "1U / 1U" Press: The A-1U and B-1U designations prove this disc was pressed using the absolute first set of commercial master lacquers cut at the EMI Hayes factory in 1978. The item has been in my attic for the past 30+ years. Outer sleeve- worn , with some dents in the cardboard . Inner sleeve- KMKOII vinyl sleeve provided . I do not have a record player , but a visual inspection of the vinyl shows a few scratches .
