This is a TRUE classic and demonstrates how good STATUS QUO really were with this EXCELLENT PYSCH LP, Full of GEMS this is a MUST HAVE item for any serious collector, what makes this copy even more attractive to the colector is the fact that it is available here in the near IMPOSSIBLE to find MONO sound format, most copies are in stereo - so Mono copies should be snapped up when offered for sale.
Pictures of Matchstick Men launched the career of the Quo and made them known to the public, the single sold well but the LP remained unsold on the shelves and when you consider the QUALITY of the music it begs the question of why ???, To give the LP its full title PICTURESQUE MATCHSTICKABLE MESSAGES FROM THE STATUS QUO and you can realise what your ear is about to receive as you place this prized posession upon your turntable, from the very first track to last you can delight in the Pysch sounds that made the late 60's so exciting.
This is MUST HAVE item for any serious collectors and the condition of this copy is surely amongst the best available with all aspects being at least Excellent. The cover photo shows the humour of the Quo with them sat upon a mountain of Matchboxes
