Einleitung:
Ich bin seit über 10 Jahren intensiv in der Jugendarbeit im Wassersport „Rudern“ tätig! Meine Schwerpunkte (und die meiner Helfer) waren immer, das gemeinsame Miteinander zu fördern und die Kinder und Jugendlichen nicht nur sportfachlich auszubilden, sondern ihnen eine verlässliche Anlaufstelle für alle Lebensfragen zu bieten. Persönliches, emotionales, zeitliches und finanzielles Engagement gehört bei mir immer mit dazu, meine Ziele zu verwirklichen.
Die Idee:
Durch eBay Charity-Auktionen im Sportbereich (Fußball, Formel 1,...) kam mir die Idee, meine vorhandenen Kontakte im Metalbereich dafür zu nutzen, etwas bisher unerreichtes auf die Beine zu stellen: ein durch versteigerte Fanartikel finanziertes Kinderboot für meine Jugendarbeit. „Was Fußball kann, können WIR schon lange!“

Der Ablauf:
1. Sammeln von signierten CDs, DVDs, Postern, Autogrammkarten und anderen Fanartikeln über 6-8 Monate (bis ca. August 2009)
2. Versteigerung aller gesammelten Fanartikel bei eBay
3. Kauf eines neuen Kinderskiffs (Einer)

Introduction:
I am very involved in youth work in the watersport „rowing“ for over 10 years so far! My emphasis (and those of my assistants) have always been encouraging cooperation and teamwork in the children, not solely the aspects of the sport. In addition to that, giving them a reliable place to go for all matters of life as well. Personal, emotional, temporal and financial engagement is always part of it for me to reach my aims.
The Idea:
Through some eBay charity-auctions of sporting goods (Soccer, Formula 1,...) the idea came alive to profit from my connections in the „metal-scene“ and achieve something that has been unmatched so far: a skiff for children and for my youth work financed by auctioned fan collectibles. „What soccer is able to do, WE can as well by now!“
