#1 RAREST STAR WARS LP!

20th Century-Fox LABEL!

Here's without question the rarest OFFICIAL 20th Century-Fox 1970's Star Wars record ever released! This extraordinary Star Wars item was NEVER sold in stores. It's an INDUSTRY ONLY special radio interview record made to coincide with the 1978 general release of the original film:

  • This is as cool as it gets! Here's an extremely rare original 1978 twelve-inch 33 and 1/3 LP record.. Fox issued this record to radio stations back in 1978 when they released Star Wars nationwide. In 1977, Star Wars opened in ONLY 32 theaters worldwide. It played in limited release until the summer of 1978 when Fox finally released thousands of prints around the country throughout all 50 states. Fox also renewed their advertising efforts by releasing new poster art and by airing a series of new TV commercials on the big networks. They also released new radio spot advertising and this remarkably rare interview disc.

The disc has interviews with the film's now legendary four principle actors: Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Alec Guinness. What makes this disc a real treat is that it was designed for regional radio stations to have their own on-air personalities read a script as to fool the listening audience into thinking that they arranged the interviews with the stars. The script reading and the interviews on the record would then be edited together and aired as a local "feature." It fooled me at the time. I remember back in the day being very impressed when my local radio station had an interview with Mark Hamill. I wondered how they got him to do that. Now I know. If you're a super Star Wars fan you can make your own recording and post it on YouTube. You can make a CD and give them as wedding favors or stocking suffers and such.

  • The record is in FANTASTIC shape and plays perfectly. I think it's only been played once or twice. It comes with its original plain white sleeve and the five page script. The record jacket is still in the original shrink-wrap! This record is RARE! You won't find another. I found this one directly from a family member of the deceased producer, Steve Strout. This was his personal copy! It doesn't get better than this.
  • If you are looking for an investment/museum quality items, look no further. Keep in mind, right NOW "Star Wars: Rogue One" is in release. This film has caused quite the buzz around the globe. Hollywood hasn't seen anything like it since the original Star Wars hit back in 1977, with Hollywood Blvd being shut-down for an opening celebration with a life-sized X-Wing in the center of the Blvd. Disney also has announced that it will be releasing another big-screen MAJOR motion picture feature on Star Wars every year henceforth - in the cinemas! That's unprecedented for any movie franchise. If that's not enough, additionally, they're constructing the TWO (2) world record largest theme parks ever built, and both are going to be 100% dedicated to Star Wars! When that happens, this poster will inevitably be a HOT PROPERTY. Let's face it, it's red hot now, but it will undoubtedly become a white-hot mamma when we round that bend. So pick it up now while it's still obtainable.

Buying this poster is ECONOMY PROOF! Why waste your money in the stock market? It can crash regardless of any decision you make and can even crash regardless of any decision made by the company related to the stock - Leaving you with a near worthless piece of paper that won't inspire anyone! With the purchase of an historic document such as this rare Star Wars LP, it doesn't matter what happens to the economy, you'll still have the record, which can be displayed, played and enjoyed. The magnificence of art and historic documents have an inherent value that relates to civilization and society. Unless civilization itself crashes then this piece will hold its value, and, if civilization itself crashes - Who'll care about money? This poster is definitely ECONOMY PROOF!
